One book every writer should keep chained to their desk
It is fitting that I begin my author’s website with one of my favorite writing manuals, The Writer’s Journey, by Christopher Vogler. His book provided a road map for my book, Guardian Cats. Without it, I think my cats and I would have been lost… forever doomed to wander about in some time warp. This is the classic book on mythic story structure, based on Joseph Campbell’s Hero of a Thousand Faces. I affectionately refer to Vogler as Campbell’s translator.
